Carlos is currently Senior Vice President, Infrastructure Automation at Bank of America. Prior to Bank of America, Carlos was with Fidelity for over 15 years in multiple areas including Operations, Engineering, and Architecture. Currently as Director of Global Network Architecture, in addition of being the Architect for the External infrastructure (Internet and Extranet), he leads the emerging technologies, (NSV/NFV) Network Service/Function Virtualization, and (SDN) Software Define Networking Programs.
Carlos has been the Network Architect for the Click-to-Compute private cloud project from its inception, overseeing the entire design, automation of network Services, and creation of Network self-service offerings. He was also part of the group who designed the Next generation data center, next generation firewall, NG monitoring projects among many others.
While taking a leave from Fidelity to later return, he worked as a Chief Architect as part of the Divx Professional Services group, consulting, designing, and deploying video over IP and Content Delivery Networks for Fortune 100 Companies.
Prior to Fidelity Carlos worked for The Venezuelan Revenue Service, and Verizon Wireless as Chief Internal Auditor among other positions.
He has a bachelor degree in Business, and Management of Information Systems from the University JMV, Venezuela, and an MS in telecommunications and Data Networks from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
