Open Network State Format (ONSF)
The Open Network State Format (ONSF) provides a common format in which state information from multiple physical and virtual entities is collected and stored so that analytics can be applied. ONSF leverages existing open published APIs being made available in network devices and software. ONSF seeks to place state data into a common format, leveraging this data for a range of use cases including capacity planning, simulation, anomalistic behavior identification, etc.
This is now a focus of the Analytic Applications & Monitoring Initiative.
